This is a picture of the recycling bin by my door. Almost everything that goes in here is single use packaging from things my roommates or I have purchased on campus. Although much of it ends up in the recycling, it still crosses my mind that most of this stuff wouldn’t be in here if there was an option other than single use, plastic packaging on campus. Even small things like the Pub allowing people to bring reusable cups for their drinks to be made in or incorporating biodegradable packaging into places like the Windward Cafe could put a big dent in this issue.
